It is with sadness we advise the passing of Gwen Allen. The respected wife of one of Rugby League’s favourite son’s Ken Allen is yet another link to our heritage we will miss but forever hold in our hearts.

Gwen survived Ken by 15 years and always upheld his place with WA Rugby League and his significance with the sport. She continued to support the awards nights and the presentation of the Ken Allen Medal for the WARL’s player of the year until the past two years when she was unable to attend.

Rugby League in Western Australia will always hold a place for Gwen, Ken and the Allen family for their passion and contribution to our game.
