WA Reds Junior Development Academy

November 2009 Update

The WA Junior Reds Academy is currently undertaking through its Reds Elite Athlete Programme (REAP):

• Pre Trials Training for the Senior Reds Academy
• Pre Season Training for the Junior Reds Academy (13-15 Year olds)

The Senior Academy will participate in trials for the 2010 Reds SG Ball trials to be held as follows:

• Perth – Sunday 6th December 2009

Please note that these trials are for individuals that can participate in the SG Ball side for 2010 and who will be 18 years or under in 2010.

The Junior academy will continue training until Thursday 17th December. A train on squad will be selected to recommence the REAP Program on Monday 25th January 2010. Final selections for the State Under 15’s will be held at the North vs South Games scheduled for April 2010.

The Junior Academy will revert to Monday’s and Thursday training only from Monday 23rd November 2009.

Throughout the trial game periods players not participating in the REAP programme and who are identified by the selection committee will be invited to join the Program. It is unlikely however that if players are not participating in REAP they will not be selected in the North vs South State Representative Selection games.
