The Western Australian Rugby League is the state governing body for Rugby League in Western Australia. Headed by a board of five directors the Western Australian Rugby League has a General Manager and seven staff working full time to ensure the strong development and survival of Rugby League in the future of Western Australia.
During the 60 years the Western Australian Rugby League has been established Rugby League has experienced many highs and several low points.
The Western Australian Rugby League is endeavoring to lift the profile of Rugby League with ongoing incentives that have seen numbers increase in recent times. Numerous programs and courses have been put into place to guarantee the future of Players and Officials for the safe and high level of competition that we aspire to achieve.
2007 was a year of progress and growth for the WARL with our local competition going from strength to strength, terrific success at a representative level and the establishment of our new Jim Beam Cup team, the WA REDS.
We look forward to our kick off with thr Reds this year in 2008 and the WARL Board and staff are ready for a bright and progressive future.
